Scorn sales amounted to almost $8 million in the first month of release on Steam
Adventure horror Scorn from Serbian studio Ebb Software was released on Steam on October 14, 2022. The game is available on PC, Xbox Series X/S consoles, as well as for all Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
Each of the game locations has its unique plot, characters, and interesting puzzles, which together form a single world and a common story.
According to GameSensor's estimations, Scorn's revenue for the first month of release date amounted to almost $8 million. As for the number of Scorn copies sold, during this time the sale reached 200 thousand users.
Players of the Steam platform mostly positively evaluated the novelty, giving it 4 stars out of 5. On aggregator website Metacritic, Scorn received mixed reviews from players, namely 6.6 points out of 10 possible. According to them, despite the good graphics, the game has some drawbacks, namely very simple gameplay and an unfinished plot. Critics' rating on the same site is 70 points out of 100.
For the developer Ebb Software and the publisher Kepler Interactive, the video game Scorn is the first project on the Steam platform.
It is worth noting that about 60% of players who purchased Scorn on Steam are English-speaking. 10% of the audience speaks Chinese, and almost 7% — is German. The rest of the users speak Russian, Spanish and other languages.
